Your hosts, Helen and Greg, invite you to escape a while to the Perth hills for a relaxing stay in our home among the gum trees.
Balligar is located on a quiet, secluded acre of bush, with many grass trees, that backs onto a bush reserve.
It is just a short stroll from the village of Mount Helena, Mount Helena Tavern, public transport,
the Kep Track & Railway Reserves Heritage Trail.
Mount Helena is about forty minutes drive from Perth, five minutes from the historic town of Mundaring
and close to Lake Leschenaultia and many other hills attractions.
Our two guest bedrooms, with queen size beds and split system reverse cycle air-conditioning,
provide guests with all home comforts, tea and coffee making facilities and bar fridge.
There is a guest bathroom and separate powder room.
It is possible to book one room and exclusive use of guest facilities.
The guest lounge, outdoors entertaining area, verandas and bush garden are places to relax and enjoy.
There is wireless internet access for those who need to keep in touch with the rest of the world.
Breakfast is an optional extra.
You may like to spoil yourself with our a la carte menu.
We use our own or local ingredients whenever possible.
We are 'gluten free friendly' and can cater for other dietary requirements on request.
Alternatively, we have DIY and BYO options.
We are also 'cycle friendly' and have secure storage for bikes & repair kit.
Balligar and surrounds are wonderful sources of inspiration for those who love to walk, cycle, sketch, paint or just be.

- Mind the step - there are a few steps up to the front veranda, two steps down to the sunken Guest Lounge,
and the odd step on the garden paths.
- Smoking is permitted only in the patio area and on verandas - ash trays / butt buckets must be used.
